Being purposeful in our operations
ABM integrates environmental responsibility into core operations and client offerings. We reduce our environmental footprint, and that of our clients across 19 industries, through targeted emissions-reduction initiatives, electrification efforts, and resource-efficient service delivery.
Our sustainability-driven offerings include eMobility solutions to support growing EV adoption—encompassing power infrastructure upgrades such as on-site renewables, microgrids, and battery energy storage—facility energy efficiency improvement projects, and environmentally responsible cleaning and waste removal services. In 2025, we expanded our engineering and infrastructure capabilities through the acquisition of WGNSTAR, extending ABM's expertise into semiconductor and applied-materials facilities, including modular energy-efficient systems design, point-of-use emissions control, and water reuse.
These solutions help clients achieve their environmental goals while staying compliant with regulatory standards and meeting rising stakeholder expectations. In FY2025 alone, ABM helped clients achieve 200,188,629 kWh of energy saved, 919,112 MMBtu of gas savings, 182,122 gallons of water saved, and 141,627 tCO2e in emissions savings—equivalent to the annual energy use of 18,063 homes.

Initiatives
Key programs include:
- Working towards science-aligned emissions reduction targets, informed by our FY2025 GHG inventory (Scope 1: 45,396 tCO2e; Scope 2, location-based: 4,035 tCO2e; expanded Scope 3 inventory: 509,406 tCO2e)
- Fleet electrification and renewable energy procurement, including continued purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) through the North American Renewables Registry (NAR), aligned with RE100 best practices
- Deployment of telematics and AI-enabled dash cameras across our fleet safety program to reinforce safe driving practices
- ISO 14001-certified environmental management and ISO 50001 energy management systems retained in the U.K. and Ireland; in 2025, ABM UK&I also achieved ISO 14064 (Greenhouse Gas Requirements) and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management, U.K.) certifications
- ABM UK&I achieved an EcoVadis Silver Award and Top 15% medal (92nd percentile); ABM Ireland achieved Gold Status in the Business in the Community Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey
- Continued deployment of an environmental reporting platform and internal audit process to improve emissions data accuracy and comparability year over year

- ABM University: The company’s core online learning platform offers on-demand courses, reference materials, and tracking tools that empower team members to build job-specific capabilities and pursue development goals.
- Fall Into Learning: A 2025 learning campaign offering structured courses in foundational AI literacy (AI 101), certification preparation (human resources, IT service management, project management, and Six Sigma), and facility management fundamentals.
- Leadership development programs: ABM expanded its leadership pipeline in 2025 through Leadership Foundations (116 enrollments), the Frontline Leaders Essentials Program (completed by 524 frontline leaders), a new online Leadership Learning Journeys series, and in-person Regional Leadership Summits held in Los Angeles, CA, and Sugar Land, TX.
- Success behaviors program: This competency-based program includes modules, webinars, and tools aligned to ABM's core values, with a focus on growth mindset, teamwork, and resilience to drive individual and team performance.
Health and safety
Safety remains a foundational priority at ABM, anchored in three strategic pillars: Safety Structure, Safety Culture, and Organization & Growth. In 2025, ABM launched its first enterprise-wide safety training program for all staff and management team members, achieving a 98.5% completion rate, and recorded 721,255 interactions through our Safe Work Observation Program (SWOP). In the U.S., ABM continues progressing toward ISO 45001 certification; in the U.K. and Ireland, ABM partners with Safe365 to benchmark safety culture maturity, achieving a score 14% above the industry average.
Culture & Inclusion Council
Led by a cross-functional team and sponsored by executive leadership, ABM’s Culture & Inclusion Council defines the company’s inclusion strategy, drives training, and monitors progress.

ABM Cares is the company's signature philanthropic program. It empowers team members to support meaningful causes through volunteering and charitable giving. Key features include:

The Team Member Relief Fund provides emergency financial assistance to ABM team members facing unforeseen personal hardship. Named in honor of Bill Steele—whose legacy of leadership and deep commitment to frontline team members shaped the culture of care at ABM—the fund reflects our belief in supporting one another through life’s most challenging moments.
This grant-based program is funded by and for the ABM community, with no repayment required. Eligible U.S. Staff and Management and Frontline team members who have been employed for six months or more may apply for up to two cash grants annually, each up to $1,000, to help cover critical needs such as housing insecurity, medical emergencies, and other qualifying financial hardships. Expansion to the U.K. and Ireland is planned.

90 Days to Make a Difference
Each year, ABM Cares' 90 Days to Make a Difference campaign invites team members to get involved in their communities—using their paid volunteer day, donating to causes that matter to them, and taking part in team and enterprise-wide engagement activities. Throughout the 90-day period, monthly themes, ideas, and stories of philanthropic efforts are shared to inspire participation across ABM.
Responsible business practices
Robust corporate governance is integral to ABM's performance and public company responsibilities. ABM's Board of Directors contains individuals with a well-rounded variety of experiences, qualifications, attributes and skills, representing a mix of perspectives that contribute to the Company's execution of its business and strategies. Our Board and its Committees provide oversight of strategy, risk, compliance, and corporate responsibility performance, including environmental and social risks.
The Board's Stakeholder and Enterprise Risk Committee oversees risks related to (i) certain social issues, including, but not limited to, culture and inclusion, employee engagement, talent acquisition, development, and retention, and health and safety; (ii) certain environmental issues, including, but not limited to, climate change, emissions tracking and energy consumption; and (iii) cybersecurity, including by reviewing the Company's cybersecurity risk tolerances and mitigation strategies.

How we do business
ABM conducts its business with the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and respect for human rights, guided by our Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and supporting policies:
- Code of Business Conduct (COBC): Annual training and recertification for all staff and management employees, with content reviewed yearly — ABM achieved 98.9% COBC participation in FY2025 (accounting for new hires and departures)
- Compliance Monthly Minutes: Introduced in 2025 — brief, enterprise-wide compliance reminders covering topics such as conflicts of interest, bid rigging, gifts & entertainment, Generative AI tools, cybersecurity awareness, and whistleblower mechanisms
- Compliance hotline: Anonymous, third-party reporting channel with non-retaliation protections that's available 24/7 in the U.S., U.K., and Ireland
- Anti-corruption biennial program: In compliance with the U.S. FCPA and U.K. Bribery Act — ABM reported no allegations or confirmed incidents under applicable anti-corruption laws involving staff or management team members in FY2025
- Anti-harassment and equal opportunity: Strict zero-tolerance policies and company-wide training programs promote a safe and inclusive workplace for all team members
- Human rights: Enforced international policies, with U.S., U.K. and Ireland Modern Slavery training and zero-tolerance approach to discrimination or misconduct—applicable to all employees, contractors, franchisees, and business partners

Cybersecurity and data privacy
ABM's cybersecurity risk management is integrated into our enterprise risk framework, with Board oversight and regular briefings to our executive management team and our Board by our Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Information Officer. ABM did not experience any material data breaches in FY2025.
- In-depth defense: We employ a multi-layered strategy including threat monitoring, endpoint protection, and vendor risk assessments, aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS frameworks
- Preparedness and training: ABM conducts annual cybersecurity training, phishing simulations, and executive tabletop exercises to strengthen incident response planning
- Responsible innovation: Our Generative AI Policy, together with a new Acceptable Use of Permitted GenAI Tools Standard Operating Procedure introduced in 2025, supports responsible innovation while protecting sensitive data and maintaining compliance with applicable laws

ABM's supplier engagement strategy incorporates environmental, social, and ethical criteria into supplier selection and oversight. We prioritize partnerships that demonstrate strong performance in areas such as sustainable sourcing, health and safety, labor practices, and regulatory compliance.

ABM’s Strategic Partner Program plays a central role in strengthening our supply chain and aligning it with business growth objectives. Through this long-standing program, we:

In 2025, ABM launched a Strategic Partner Mentorship Program, piloted with nine graduating supply partners. The program is expanding through 2026 with workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching from ABM executives, culminating in a graduation ceremony recognizing participating suppliers.
Additionally, ABM maintains a dedicated supplier portal and on-demand recruitment platform, where qualified service partners can register and complete pre-qualification. Our streamlined intake process supports equitable access and transparency.
Supplier Governance and Sustainability
ABM conducts supplier assessments through platforms such as Avetta to evaluate risk and sustainability practices. These assessments address areas such as environmental impact, health and safety performance, and the presence of policies prohibiting child labor or forced labor. As of the end of FY2025, sustainability data for more than 2,000 suppliers is managed through ABM's third-party supply chain management platform, providing visibility into vendor sustainability program maturity, risk mitigation practices, GHG emissions reporting, and compliance with international human rights and social standards, including modern slavery and child labor regulations.
ABM also provides a centralized Supplier Resource Center with policies, guidance materials, and performance expectations to support long-term, successful supplier relationships.
